I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel in Saint-Denis. The value for money was excellent, with affordable prices and attention to detail. The hotel's central location made it convenient for exploring the town center. The staff were friendly and provided great service, even offering a free dinner when there was a small issue with the room. I also appreciated the basic amenities and the fact that breakfast was included in my rate. One unique feature was the selection of books in multiple languages on the public terrace, which added a nice touch to my stay.
All was well during my stay, no improvements necessary.

Our stay in this beautiful 19th century colonial mansion was the highlight of our visit to Saint Denis. The period furnishings and decorations were as exquisite and atmospheric as in the restored creole houses we visited across the island. Indeed, given its historical heritage, Le Juliette Dodu could as well be a much-visited museum. The staff spoke English and were extremely helpful and patient with bookings, advice and cancellations. Situated in a quiet part of the city- centre, the hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the Barachois seafront. In the lounge, we loved the teddy bears on their sofa with Dodu, the in-house cat, sleeping between them. Le Juliette Dodu is a charming heritage hotel with an inimitable character and style that make for a memorable stay.

Gorgeous creole building in the centre of St Denis. Decor is great and the pool a welcome feature to cool off in the heat. Room was spacious (we had a triple room but booked a double) and had a big bath to soothe the muscles after hiking in the Cirques. Breakfast was continental buffet with fresh fruit and bread/pastries etc and lovely mango juice. Staff were great and spoke good English (rare in Reunion). Free parking under hotel (only 5 spaces so inform hotel you will be bringing a car beforehand).

Lovely hotel in great location with very friendly and helpful staff. We were able to park our car in the basement garage and explore St Denis on foot - much easier than navigating the narrow streets! Staff at reception were particularly helpful in booking our helicopter tour and giving directions.
Some may find the room and bathroom to be on the small side but we think this is to be expected from a colonial property in the heart of the older part of town.

This hotel was well, located and had a great pool area. It was also reasonably priced for its central location and had a delicious buffet breakfast. the staff were friendly and helpful, making check, in and check, out easy.
The room was uncomfortably small and cramped. the bed was too short and the bathroom was oddly shaped, making it difficult to maneuver around.

Bed are comfortable and people are nice. If your want to visit St Denis and colonial house, the location is ideal.
The place is authentic but comfort and maintenanceare really basic. The sofa at the entrance seem to have 40 years, the small terrasse near the swimming pool is really not maintained. A relooking ing is really neeeded. Rooms are very small,

Great location in the heart of the city, close to many tourist attractions. The lobby and swimming pool provide a relaxed atmosphere for guests. The hotel staff is very friendly and welcoming, providing a warm environment.
Rooms are quite small, and lighting is poor, making it challenging to see things clearly. Buffet breakfast was not great.

The hotel is located close to the lovely seafront and boasts a peaceful surrounding in the centre with numerous bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Rooms are traditional but comfortable, featuring all the essential facilities. Guests can enjoy a continental breakfast and friendly staff.
The room size may be an issue for those who require more space to move around, and the facilities need an update to match travelers' expectations.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel with very friendly staff who gave us helpful information about the city centre and transportation. The location of this hotel is perfect, as it is close to the city centre and within walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Additionally, the hotel facilities were great, including a nice pool and comfortable rooms. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast served by the staff, which featured different varieties of cheese, fruits, and 'real' bread. Another noteworthy aspect was the cleanliness of the hotel, ensuring a pleasant and comfortable stay.
Absolutely nothing to say about dislikes.
